Came across an interesting mod from another forum: SnowfallKeypress

What this does is change the way WoW processes keypresses with the goal of reducing latency and ui lag. After installing this, when you press a key your spell fires instantly. Sound like what you have now? Not exactly. How this varies from the game's current function is, if you press a button now, the spell does not fire until you release the button. This mod eliminates the release portion of the delay.

Positives: If you don't hold down your buttons for timed release, you will see an increase in ui responsiveness and decrease in latency, which should result in higher dps. This helps particularly in situations where you need to get a fast interrupt off and an extra split seconds means getting it vs a miss. I like to think of it as the difference between a console controller button press and a typewriter key press.

Negatives: If you like to hold a spell and release, this will end that entirely. If you rely heavily on the spell queue system rather than spamming your keys, this will probably take getting used to and you may wish to avoid it for that reason.
If you spam your keys anyway (as I tend to), you will see no loss of the spell queue benefits regardless.

I've seen reports that it can mean a few hundred dps increase in min/max situations, or 75ms of latency reduction. I don't know if that's true, but I personally like it and would recommend folks install it and see if you do.

Wow I just tried this addon and it makes a huge difference... at least to my playstyle. Quite frankly, I'm surprised this isn't a built-in option. Everything feels much more responsive now. Could explain why it felt sluggish during tense moments... because I unknowingly press harder on the keyboard and let go later.
